Contact Lens Information
There are hundreds of contact lenses on the market from the mass produced off the shelf designs, to individual bespoke lenses made to fit your unique contours and ocular features. After carrying out a full assessment and consultation with the you, we will discuss the various types and establish which is the best option for you and your lifestyle.
Having identified your needs we will supply a range of trials, where you determine which is the most comfortable lens and achieves the best results in practice. This can often mean taking them home and if you know how to insert and extract the lenses, trialing several pairs over a set period of time.
If you are new to contact lens wear we will teach you how to care for your eyes and your lenses including insertion and extraction: all this is included in the package.
We have a great record in fitting children as well as those who were previously unsuccessful wearers of contact lenses. Complex lenses are also our forte, so why not give them a try?
Extended and continuous wear contact lenses
Great for those with busy lives and or handling issues
There are lenses that have approval to be worn for up to 7 days of continuous wear, there are even some gas rigid permeable lenses that can be worn for up to thirty days. These lenses are super permeable and come in with silicone hydrogel or other materials such as silicone acrylate. Please note you need be good with hygiene, not have dry eyes and compliant to consider these types of lenses.
Available for those who are short or far sighted, those with astigmatism and those who need correction at distance and near as well as those with high prescriptions.
